GANGES RIVER POLLUTION

Ganges River Pollution
Photograph by Tushar Sharma,
This Month in Photo of the Day: Nature and Environment
This shot was taken at Varanasi, India. A boat man still sleeping in the morning and the boats created a splendid formation. I was shocked that pollution from tourists throwing garbage and plastic waste into the River Ganges is slowly killing the environment.

Tourists? No. The inhabitants are the ones too backward and shortsighted to do anything about water pollution there. Don't shift the blame away from the real polluters!
